Darlene Allen-Nichols, PhD
Dr. Darlene Allen-Nichols
was born and raised in Chicago Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Professor Ernest Allen, Sr. and Mother Lorraine
Allen. As an acclaimed motivational speaker and gospel teacher, she has traveled throughout the United States
and surrounding areas spreading the good news of hope and truth. She has been the keynote speaker for various functions
including youth conventions, Career Days, Marriage retreats, Women's empowerment seminars, Life Enrichment seminars,
Prison ministries, Boot camps, and Global fellowship services.
Dr. Darlene is a television
personality and can be seen weekly on the Total Living Network (Monday Mornings at 5:00am CST), and also on local Chicago
Cable station CANTV. Professionally, she is an Investment and Financial Services Manager. Most recently,
she served as Vice President of Investment Administration for Northern Trust Global Investments. Dr. Darlene holds
a Bachelor's in Business Administration from DePaul University, a Master's in Business Management, from DePaul University,
and a Master's and Doctorate of Divinity from the Grace Theological Seminary. She will complete her PhD in Organizational
Leadership from Capella University in 2010.
As an entrepreneur, she
is the founder of DAN Ministries Inc., a 501c3, non-profit organization which aims to build self esteem, instill educational
awareness, and increase self worth among the youth of this nation. DAN Ministries hosts annual functions
including its core conference "Touch 1 Life", which featured such talents as Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Jesse
Campbell, Pastor LaTanya Blake-Allen, Maurice Griffin, Pastor Romalic Jones, Terrell Edwards, and Pastor John F. Hannah.
She is also the author of the book "Peeling The Layers", a book designed to increase self-awareness and promote personal
productivity.
Dr. Darlene is a wife, mother, teacher, career woman, and
motivational speaker. She has been happily married to Eugene Nichols Jr. since 1996. Together, they
have two sons; Eugene III, affectionately known as E.J, and Austin.
